ALTAR

AND

AMBON

Recovery, simplicity and memory are the key words for the realization of these two liturgical furnishings. This project hinged on the reusing of a dismembered and abandoned baptismal font in granite, whose stone portions have been re-interpreted to become the main parts of the new greater altar and of the ambon.

The design of this new furniture is based on simple shapes: the square and the circle.

To complement the stone element, carved and with no surface treatment walnut wood was used, refelcting the same material choice for the platform of the main altar.
